Aware Technology™ uses microphones to pick up outside sounds and amplifies them through your hearing protector, similar to a hearing aid or enhancer. When outside noises breach 85 dB, Aware Technology™ responds by relaying the sound at 85 dB or cutting out the sound completely. Aware uses digital circuitry to react within milliseconds. You react with confidence and peace of mind.

How does it work?
Omni-directional microphones amplify the sounds around you through your hearing protector. When these microphones sense a loud noise, like a nail gun or hammer, they quickly lower the volume to protect your ears.
The graphic below displays how Aware Technology™ operates across the products. When there is noise over 85 dB, the product will lower the volume of or cut out the sound completely. It will hold that until the noise level returns to a safe listening level and then begin to transition back to normal listening.
