Whether you run your own woodworking business, or simply enjoy a DIY project every now and then, attending a woodworking trade show is a great way to get inspired, network, and hone your craft. Unfortunately, COVID-19 forced many trade shows to cancel or reschedule in 2020. The good news? Trade shows are back, and they’re the perfect place to reconnect with peers in your industry. Here are 5 upcoming woodworking trade shows that we’re looking forward to.

AWFS Fair

July 20, 2021 - July 23, 2021| Las Vegas, NV

The Association of Woodworking & Furnishing Suppliers will celebrate 110 years at their annual trade show this July. This Las Vegas woodworking show is the largest DIY and woodworking trade show in the United States, and this year over 80 countries will be represented. The show will feature 430+ exhibitors, a 2021 tool tour, a closet building competition, and so much more. The best part? Attendee registration is only $30 for all four days! Register here.

The AWFS Fair is one of the few woodworking shows still scheduled for 2021. They’ve promised to prioritize the safety of exhibitors and attendees and recommend wearing a mask if you have not been vaccinated. To learn more about the AWFS Fair’s COVID-19 procedures, click here

The 2.5 day event offers countless educational sessions and hands-on demos to help you build your maker business and network. This Californian woodworking show is great for any woodworker, though those specializing in closets may have an even better time. The Wood Pro Expo is co-located with the Closets Conference & Expo, making this the ultimate show for any woodworking closet maker. Makers Central

April 30, 2022 - May 1, 2022 | Birmingham, England

Makers Central describes itself as a fun family event for all hobbyists and creators, but we think of it as the #1 European trade show for woodworkers and DIYers. The weekend will feature influencer talks, DIY demos, and tool vendors from around the world. Don’t believe how great it is? Take a look at the 2019 highlights and we think you’ll change your mind. Although it’s postponed until 2022, this trade show is certainly worth the wait. Early bird tickets are on sale for only £25 per day. Get your tickets here

IWF Fair

August 23, 2022 - August 26, 2022 | Atlanta, GA

This international woodworking trade show is one of the world’s top events for custom and general woodworking professionals. Although the event caters more towards companies and larger organizations, it still provides plenty of educational resources to individual attendees. “Intellectual Property 101 for the Woodworking Professional” and “Urban Wood Movement” are just a few examples of the courses available to attendees. Since registration won’t open until January 2022, we recommend signing up for their email list if you’re interested in attending.
