Q&A

Which ISOtunes model is your current favorite & why?

XTRA 2.0 and FREE. FREE are small enough for pocket carry, XTRA 2.0 won't get lost around the neck.

What do you typically listen to on your ISOtunes?

I like a variety of different podcasts, topics ranging from personal finance and the economy to Christian teaching.

Why are you an ISOtunes' brand ambassador?

We only work with QUALITY products from QUALITY companies!ISOtunes is a lightweight, effective, reliable way to protect my hearing. Prior to this technology, I had always resisted hearing protection...to my own disadvantage. Huh? The ISOtunes corporate offices are local to us. We were introduced to ISOtunes by a local viewer. After testing for a month or two, we were convinced of the practicality and reliability of the product. Viewer feedback has been positive as well.

What inspired you to get into your chosen industry?

I got my first tractor as "therapy" to deal with the stress of my day job. As time passed, we wanted to share the 'fun' with other potential owners. When we started, most folks thought a small tractor was useless. Now, more and more people recognize how much can be accomplished.

What is the most challenging part of your line of work?

Maintenance. Keeping our inventory of equipment maintained properly while juggling other aspects of our business has proven quite challenging.

How did you become a content creator?

Purely by accident. We started publishing our tractor adventures for Katriel's (our daughter) grandparents. Both sides of the family had farming backgrounds and were interested in our 'new toy'. Viewers found our content and have been faithfully watching since then.

How do you stay motivated in times of chaos & stress?

Focus on God. He has promised to protect and care for us if we dedicate our lives to Him. Of course that is easier said than done. It is much too easy to focus on all of the negatives around us!

What is something you are most proud of?

My marriage. Christy and I have a great relationship. Hopefully this shows in our videos. We enjoy our time together immensely. When life "at home" is smooth, it is much easier to deal with external crises.

Words to live by?

Love God, and Love those around you!

Fun fact about you.

I was a Software Developer in my prior career. I specialized in Windows and web development. I LOVED it for 25 years!....unfortunately, I did it for 30 years! If you are thinking it is time for a career change, MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Which job has been the most challenging for you?

[See video] Our task was to locate an existing water line, and "T" into it. We had a deadline...one day to finish. Very HOT temperatures, and as it turns out, I had an artery blockage at the time which I didn't realize for a couple of more months. We thought we located the line, spliced in the 'T', not realizing until we tried to turn on the water that we hadn't found the correct line. Starting over, we searched a 20' wide area 5' deep searching for the desired line. We never did find it. 12+ hours by the time we got the site cleaned up and leveled. Of course, the customer didn't want to pay, even though we had purchased (and consumed some) supplies......it doesn't always go perfectly!

What are future goals as your career grows?

We would like to help however we can through the upcoming hard times. This may be tractor related via our YouTube channel, or it may be something else. We try to remain open to God's leading.

How would you describe your perfect day?

Sleep in, cheeseburger for lunch, work on a tractor project in perfect weather. Spend the evening around a fire discussing life with friends.

When do you feel most at home?

When my wife and daughter are nearby.

Favorite part of your daily routine.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Toast every morning for breakfast.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

Surprisingly (to us) we have really enjoyed the cats we keep in our barn. We had never had any pets in the family prior to these. We got them to chase mice, but we've found them to be entertaining and an enjoyable addition to our daily lives.
